About Paul
I am a native Vermonter who spent my high school years in Burlington and have proudly served the citizens of Chittenden County since 1994.
I currently live in Williston with my son and dog.
When I'm not serving the community, I enjoy boating and woodworking.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated public servants and helping protect the safety and well-being of our communities. I remain proud to serve the residents of Chittenden County every day.
Experience
My law enforcement and public service career spans more than 32 years.
I began my career with the Chittenden County Sheriff's Office, serving in both part-time and full-time capacities. During that time, I also served with the U.S. Customs Service within the Department of the Treasury in a variety of roles.
I later joined the Federal Protective Service, where I advanced from Police Officer to Inspector and ultimately Area Commander for Western New England. In that role, I was responsible for the law enforcement, safety, and security of federal facilities and personnel throughout Vermont, Connecticut, and western Massachusetts. I also worked numerous National Special Security Events.
Following my retirement from federal service in 2016, I served as Director of Security for the Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services, overseeing security and safety operations for state-owned and leased facilities and the employees who work within them.
Throughout my career, I maintained my connection to the Chittenden County Sheriff's Office. In 2023, I returned to the Sheriff's Office full-time, continuing my commitment to serving the citizens of Chittenden County.
